about physics of fitness

Physics of Fitness is a 24-hour gym and fitness center in Appleton, Wisconsin that offers personal and group training customized to your particular fitness needs. Our primary goal is to help you be better today than you were yesterday – whether you’re trying to lose weight, want to build muscle, need to do corrective exercises for pre-hab or post-therapy training, or you’re an athlete in need of strength coaching.
Because we’re so focused on giving our clients a personalized fitness experience, we limit the number of members we have. This keeps our gym from becoming overcrowded and allows our staff to focus on our existing clientele.

Our History

Although Physics of Fitness wasn’t officially founded until 2017, the idea for this gym started as a side project back in 2006. At the time, Patrick was living in Colorado, and he was concerned about the large number of over-hyped fitness and nutrition gimmicks on the market. Patrick knew that real fitness was not about overly restrictive diets or hyper intense workouts. It was about finding balance. As Patrick explains it, “Each of us has our own imbalances - some more extreme than others. However, everyone needs balance to be successful. Balance is form, function, and strength. Fitness is easy. It’s simply physics.” And with that thought, the idea for Physics of Fitness was born.
By 2017, Patrick had moved to Appleton, Wisconsin, where he opened up a private training studio in the downtown area. This was the first official location of Physics of Fitness. However, Patrick had a desire to move beyond private training, and in 2020, Physics of Fitness moved to a larger space in the nearby town of Little Chute. At this new, larger location, Physics of Fitness became a member-based facility, building its membership from a combination of Patrick’s private clientele and former members of a local Curves fitness club that had closed due to COVID-19. In 2022, Physics of Fitness expanded into the adjacent building, adding even more square footage.
